Discount registration offered for older Arabian and half-Arabian horses
[highlight align="left, right, center" style="different"]Beginning July 1, the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) will offer a discount on registration for horses 2 and older. Members who register their horses during this period, which ends December 31, 2013, will save $100 on purebred Arabian horse registration, paying only $250, and $40 on half-Arabian or Anglo-Arabian registration, paying only $75. A discount on registration has only been offered a handful of times in history.[/highlight] By extending this offer, the Arabian Horse Association hopes to capture horses that have gone unregistered past the age of 2. American Shetland Pony Congress begins tomorrow
The 2013 American Shetland Pony Congress will take place July 9-13 at the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines, IA. The Congress is the longest continually running show of the American Shetland Pony Club, Inc., one of the oldest breed registries in the United States. This year marks the 67th anniversary and one of the largest with over 530 ponies registered for this historic pony championship.
